How to apply
If you decide that DMU is the right university for you, there are two ways to apply.
Applying through an agent
Our representatives around the world can help you with everything from choosing a course to dealing with admissions and visa applications.
If you decide not to use an agent, you can apply directly to DMU through our online portal or by downloading an application form.
Please complete all the sections and the supporting statement, making sure you tell us about yourself, your work experience, your skills and knowledge and why you want to study at DMU.
If you are applying to more than one UK university or you want to apply through the clearing process, you need to use the Universities and Colleges Application Service (UCAS).
So we can process your application, we will also need copies of the documents below, please do not send the originals:
- Two references, one recent academic reference and one work-related. We will accept two academic references if you do not have any work experience
- Copies of your qualification certificates and/or transcripts from the age of 15/16. Evidence of your English language ability (if English is not your first language), such as a copy of your IELTS or Cambridge certificate
- If you are due to take English language tests, please tell us the dates of these. You will need to send us the results when they become available
- A photocopy or scan of the photograph page of your passport
You can attach these to your online application|, email them to us at email@example.com |or post them to:

What happens next
We will review your application and send you an email confirming one of the following:
An unconditional offer of a place on your chosen course
If you have met all the necessary entry criteria we will hold a place for you until you accept or decline our offer.
A conditional offer of a place on your chosen course
We will hold a place for you but you will still need to meet some of the entry criteria, such as achieving an IELTS score of 6.5 or passing your current course.
An offer of a place on another course
If you do not qualify for your original course, we will offer an alternative providing you meet the entry criteria. This may be an unconditional or a conditional offer.
We need more information
If we need more information to make a decision, we will ask you to send this to us as soon as possible.
We have rejected your application
We will only do this if you do not meet the entry criteria for any our courses. You may need to study further to gain the qualifications or English language skills before you apply again. You can do this through the DMU Leicester International Pathway College|, which is based on campus and offers guaranteed progression onto a DMU degree course.
We try to process all applications within two weeks. If you have not heard anything after four weeks, please contact us|.
After you receive an offer
See the after you apply section for information about paying your deposit, applying for a visa, arranging accommodation and more.
