One of the first questions you're likely to ask about university is how much will it all cost? Going to university represents a real investment in your future and there is plenty of financial support available to students for both tuition fees and living expenses.
Undergraduate tuition fees
For 2017/18 undergraduate full-time home students tuition fees will be £9,250
A tuition fee loan, up to £9,250 a year, will be available to students to cover tuition fee costs.

#DMUglobal High Flyers Award
The #DMUglobal High Flyers Award offers students a discount of up to £1,000 towards a #DMUglobal opportunity (subject to terms and conditions).
All you have to do is apply for a #DMUglobal opportunity from the start of term and you will receive your award prior to departure.
The Vice-Chancellor's Sports Scholarships
The Vice-Chancellor's Sports Scholarships provide students with the opportunity to develop their sporting performance while studying at DMU. Eligible students will be awarded up to £6,000 of support.
Stephen Lawrence Professional Scholarship
The Stephen Lawrence Professional Scholarship provides successful applicants with 50% off the cost of tuition fees and a £3,500 cash bursary each academic year.
The scholarship is open to students wishing to study LLB (Hons) Law, BA (Hons) Journalism and BA (Hons) Architecture.
LoveEU Bundle for 2017 entry
DMU welcomes students from more than 130 countries and to help reassure EU students, DMU has created the LoveEU Bundle, which includes:
- A payment of £150 to EU students coming to DMU from outside of the UK to study a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate taught course at DMU in September 2017.
- Tuition fees guaranteed to remain at UK home-rates for entry September 2017 and January 2018 for the length of the course of study.
- Ticket giveaways to see Leicester City Football Club and Leicester Tiger Rugby Club games – official partners of DMU.
- Silver Membership* of the Queen Elizabeth 2 Diamond Jubilee Leisure Centre and Gym (worth £135 for whole year).
Eligible students will be contacted in October 2017 after enrolment processes are complete with details of how to receive the payment. Please keep an eye on your DMU email address for details.
The final deadline for the return of details from students joining DMU wishing to take up the Love EU bundle in September 2017 will be Friday 19 January 2018.

The government is changing the way in which students beginning nursing, midwifery and speech and language therapy courses are funded.
For all students attending university from September 2017 onwards NHS bursaries will no longer be available. Instead, you will have access to the standard student support package of tuition fee loans and support for living costs.

As part of our Faculty’s on-going commitment to support our students in enhancing their graduate career opportunities and lifelong learning, we are proud to inform you of an exciting development which announces the launch of a new scholarship designed to provide financial support to students enrolled onto the Nursing with Registration (Learning Disability) and Nursing with Registration (Mental Health) programmes at DMU.
The Nursing Scholarship is awarded based on a record of academic achievements demonstrated through your previous studies and future successes at DMU. We will be offering eligible students’ a generous scholarship of up to £3,000 throughout the duration of the course.

Employability Support Fund
The Employability Support Fund will provide £100 to every eligible final-year student to help towards the costs of pursuing their career aspirations. Students are expected to use the money to help pay for smart interview attire or towards the cost of creating a portfolio of work, for example.
