Erasmus+, travel, study or teach in Europe

The Erasmus+ programme includes a student exchange programme developed by the European Commission and has been running in various forms since 1987. It enables students and staff from 34 European countries to study, work or teach for up to 12 months in another country.

Incoming students

De Montfort University (DMU) has a vibrant and friendly international community, and we welcome applications from students at our partner institutions. To begin your application, speak with the Erasmus+ Co-ordinator at your own university first.

Outgoing students

Erasmus+ is the perfect opportunity to study at one of our partner universities in Europe, allowing you to experience a new lifestyle and gain skills that future employers value highly. You may also receive an EU-funded grant while you study with Erasmus+. Take a look at these webpages to learn more about the diverse opportunities available! Undergraduate students who have completed their first year are eligible to take part in Erasmus+. Each faculty has a range of exchange agreements in place with European partners, and the opportunities available depend on your subject area. Find out where you could go for your subject.

Erasmus+ is also available for current International students with Tier 4 visa status.
