The new DMU Intranet is coming...
A new DMU Intranet is currently being developed which will allow faculties and directorates to share internal information in a quicker and more efficient way.
A preview of what the new DMU Intranet will look like
This won't just be a simple replacement of the current intranet, but will also replace the staff portal and internal-only content on the DMU staff webpages, bringing everything together in one central place.
Developed using a new version of Microsoft SharePoint Online, the new intranet is good news for everyone as information aimed at staff will finally all be in one place and an improved search facility will make it much easier for you to find what you need quickly. Existing SharePoint sites - including committee document management - will also be transferred to the new system.
Other benefits of the new Intranet include:
- Improved navigation structure
- Increased opportunities for collaboration
- A consistent way to share internal information
- No more duplicated content
- Responsive mobile interface for easy use on any mobile device
The new Intranet is expected to be ready in 2017.
Full training and support will be provided to staff who will be using the new system and those concerned will be contacted with more information in due course.
